| The
reverse osmosis process allows the removal
of small particles, such as ions from a
solution. Reverse osmosis is used to
purify water and remove salts and other
impurities in order to improve the color,
taste or properties of the fluid.
Because of the effectiveness in reducing
the widest range of contaminants, large
municipal water systems treat their most
challenging water problems with reverse
osmosis technology. Now you can have that
same technology in your own home for
better drinking water!
Our Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System
has a 1.7 gallon storage capacity and
comes with a Two-Year Warranty.

Water Facts...
Bottled water sold in the United States
is not always filtered and not necessarily
cleaner or safer than most tap water,
according to a four-year scientific study
recently made public by the Natural
Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
There are 35,000 pesticides containing
600 chemical compounds, however municipal
water systems are only required to test
for six. Many of these chemicals are
known to cause birth defects, nerve
damage, sterility and cancer.
A recent government study found that
more than 25% of all large U.S. public
water systems contain traces of one or
more toxic substances. Public water
systems do not test for the carcinogens
and other dangerous chemicals that are
being found.
The
EPA States "There is no such thing as
naturally pure water. In nature, all
water contains some impurities. As water
flows in streams, sits in lakes, and
filters through layers of soil and rock in
the ground, it dissolves or absorbs the
substances that it touches. Some of these
substances are harmless. In fact, some
people prefer mineral water precisely
because minerals give it an appealing
taste. However, at certain levels
minerals, just like man-made chemicals,
are considered contaminants that can make
water unpalatable or even unsafe.” |
